Who it’s for
Patients with an active diabetic foot ulcer, or those at high risk of one due to neuropathy or vascular disease.
What to expect
A structured care plan — wound cleaning and dressing, offloading pressure from the area (which may include specialized footwear), infection management where present, and coordination with partner facilities for advanced wound care or vascular treatment when needed.
Evidence basis
Structured, multidisciplinary wound care is standard-of-care for diabetic foot ulcers, aimed at healing the current wound and reducing the risk of recurrence or progression to more serious complications.
